Full of uncomfortable, brave truths about what it means to be human, Charlie Kaufman's directorial debut 'Synecdoche, New York' illustrates perfectly the way in which we often spend too much time trying to make sense of the world and not enough time living in it. An absolutely brilliant piece of film.
