All this quantum levitation stuff has got me psyched. Here it is applied to a real Wipe'out track. The actual science is called the Casimir Effect, where two uncharged metallic plates are placed in a vacuum, without any external electromagnetic field. This lack of an external field also means that there is no field between the plates, and no force can be measured between them.

It's the latest Google Chrome experiment for the new album ROME, from Danger Mouse, Daniele Luppi, Norah Jones, and Jack White, showcasing the creative potential of WebGL, which enables the rendering of 3G graphics in a web browser without the use of a plug-in. The new MIT Media Lab logo, created by TheGreenEyl, is based on a visual system, an algorithm that produces a unique logo for each person, for faculty, staff and students. Each person can claim and own an individual shape and can use it on their business card a personal website. The design encompasses all collateral, business cards, letterhead, website, animations, signage etc. A custom web interface was developed to allow each person at the Media Lab to choose and claim an own individual logo for his/her business card, as well as a custom animation software which allows to create custom animations for any video content the lab produces.

John Kestner's Tableau is a repurposed nightstand that stores and retrieves memories using a twitter account, bridging physical and digital media. It quietly drops photos it sees on its Twitter feed into the drawer, for the owner to discover. Images of things placed in the drawer are posted to its account as well.
